The Brown Bears habitat
Brown bears live in forested areas, both in the mountains and in the plains. They like places where the trees are dense, with bushes and berries. In these places, they set up beds for winter sleep under the roots of fallen trees, in dense thickets or caves. They need water to drink, and they catch fish in the rivers.
The Brown Bears’ salmon hunt
In summer and fall, brown bears wait by rivers for salmon. They catch them with their strong paws and teeth. Salmon are important food for bears to grow big and strong for winter hibernation.
